Early Election

Just for clarity, Theresa May can’t just call an election when it suits her.

Under the Fixed Term Parliament Act there are only two circumstances in which an election can be called

  1. A 2/3 majority of the Commons votes in favour, or
  2. The Government loses a vote of no confidence and is replaced quickly.

So unless the opposition agrees she cant call an election, unless of course she wnat to engineer a vote of no confidence in herself and her band of fools.

I can’t see why any of the opposition parties would currently agree to let her have that if that is what she wants.

I suppose she could promise them various things but we already know she is a liar who cannot be trusted
