Obviously I have not read the Chilcot report. I have however seen Alistair Campbell’s and Jack Straw’s responses

“Hindsight this…” and “Hindsight that…”. As though the evidence wasn’t there and only came to light later.

I have two things to say on that:

First from all reporting of the Chilcot inquiry it seems that the evidence was there and secondly Robin Cook.

Robin Cook saw all the evidence that Straw and Blair saw and came to a diametrically opposed view to them. Maybe his view of it was wrong and maybe theirs was right, but you cant say the evidence wasn’t there.

Of course the Chilcot report isnt going to change a single mind is it.
